Side Step card

                                                 Ramp up the 'WOW' factor

Hi Stampers!

I hope you've enjoyed your 3 day holiday and are now ready to start creating new pretties.  The samples are from Pinterest but I've made them and they're fun!  If you've never tried a "SIDE STEP CARD" then you've come to the right place.  These are a blast to make.  The basic card base is quite simple ... see step by step below ... and I know you'll love decorating it.

So... let's get started ...

1/11/2012; Barbara Joyce at 'Inky Fun!' blog; Snow Much Fun Side Step Card

Begin with a piece of cardstock cut at 8 1/2 x 5 1/2

    1. Step 1

Line up the short side of the cardstock at 3" in a paper cutter

      1. Start at 1" and cut all the way to 6 1/2.  You are basically making a slit in your cardstock.

    1. Step 2

Score the 2 1/2" wide section of the card at 4 1/4".
    2. Step 3

      Score the 3" wide section at 1", 2", 3 1/4", 4 1/2" and 6 1/2".
    3. Step 4

Fold the score line at 4 1/4" down.
    4. Step 5

Fold the first score line on the right hand side of the card down (mountain fold),
    5. fold the second fold up (valley fold).
    6. Step 6

Continue to fold the score lines mountain valley style.
    7. Step 7

Fold the last score line down to finish the card base.

    Decorate ... decorate ... decorate...!
