New Catalog SAS

Hi Everyone

Last Saturday my friend and I went to a fabulous SAS featuring all new product from Stampin' Up's new catalog.  I still need to put some finishing touches on a couple of them but here are the ones I completed.  Love that we used the sets to pretty up the insides too.

This one is from Butterfly Basics - not new, but always classic!  This is the new color "Delightful Dijon".  Still not sure about this color ... but I do like this card.

This one is a 'pull out' card within a card.  The front is attached at the sides, forming a pocket.  The set is 'Build a Birthday'... a really versatile set

I think this one is my favorite.  It uses 'Sprinkles of Life'.  My last blog used the cupcake from this set... now it is punched out as a cloud instead of frosting... love it!!!  The sunburst inside is from 'Kinda Eclectic'.  The camera didn't pick it up but the lettering and edges of the cloud are embossed with silver.  Too bad it really doesn't show  =(  sorry.

For this card we used the 'Hello You' thinlits and then stamped 'Painted Petals' in plum to create our background.  It is matted on 'perfect plum' as well.

This next card uses 'World of Dreams' for the front part and sentiment and 'Serene Silhouettes' create the birds on the branch inside.

I'll finish this post by saying................

So happy you took the time to stop by...  enjoy your day.

February Crazy Card Club

Hi Friends

I've finally finished my February cards for our Crazy Card Club.  I kept getting distracted but it's ok because we have the entire month to finish our submissions.  Here's what I came up with...

Did you know indecisive is my middle name?  Well, it should be as I never seem to be able to make a decision.  So, that said, let me share the others that finally led me to this one.

After finishing this one in the strawberry slush, I decided it was maybe too bright ... although I do like it.  And notice I used the hearts EF with it too.

Then I decided to stick with the certainly celery background and I also changed up the embossing folder since there was some honeycomb in the accent stamp that I used.

Then I decided to continue the honeycomb motif for the main image after stamping it.

Which became "our" choice for the majority of the cards.  I say "our"... well, if you read this blog frequently, you'll know I have a very special assistant ... he's always there "front and center" and this project was no exception.

My baby Bailey

These cards were all done using the Butterfly Basics set from the new Occasions Catalog.  I also used the new 1/4" cotton ribbon from the annual catalog.  It's new this year and I absolutely love it.  It seems to do what I want without giving me attitude!

I hope you've enjoyed seeing these as much as I've enjoyed sharing.

Thanks for dropping by...
