Harvest Blessings

Hi Stampers

Here we go with another Monday.  But, we're well into my favorite season with the days getting cooler with all the Fall Festivals, decorations, and anticipation for the holidays ahead.  All good things!!

That said, I have a "fun fold" Fall card for you today... that's a mouthful.  I made this for our crazy card club for October.  The flap fold might be a little difficult to describe but let's give it a try.

Here it is closed ... what you see when you take it out of the envelope

Then you lift up the little flap that has your image and greeting on it

voila... the inside of the card

Not too big a deal, right?  Here are some measurements if you'd like to copy this design ...

A2 card -- base is 5 1/2 x 4 1/4  -- standard
Next you want to trim off about 1/2 - 3/4" from the front right side opening and punch that edge
The "flap" strip is cut at 3" x 7" and scored at 3 1/8 and 3 1/4

I used a Verve 'plain Jane' stamp for the outside image and Verve's Harvest Blessings for the small wheat inside as well as the sentiment on the front.  I also used the solid stamp from SU's Happy Watercolor behind the wheat.  The papers I used are all retired Sweater Weather from last year but any pleasing combination of dsp with coordinating inks will work.

I hope my explanation is clear ... do you like the card?  Leave me a comment, I enjoy your input.  If you have any questions please just ask and I will reply to help you.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great week!  I will have some fun cards from a recent SAS to share with you this week.

Christmas Wishes

Hi Friends

Today I want to share a clean and simple card with you.   The challenge this week over at Merry Monday is to make a card with a wreath.  And, the challenge presented by the Paper Players is a sketch so I combined the two and will enter this card into both.

For no particular reason, I chose to do my wreath in blues and silver.  Here it is....

I used an old combination set by Sizzix (Hero Arts) because it also has framelits with it.  As it turns out, I didn't end up using the framelits but did use the three snowflake stamps to form my wreath.  If this set has a name, I can't find it... but, if you are interested the #657781 is in the corner and perhaps you can find it that way.

My colors are Pacific Point and Coastal Cabana on whisper white with rhinestones for a little bling.  I also used my snowflake embossing folder for the first layer.  The sentiment is from Verve's 'Ornamental Christmas'.

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit...
