Anniversary
Hi friends...
I thought today I'd share a card I made for some friends for their 60th anniversary!! Wow... isn't that wonderful? 60 years. Congratulations to Jo and Bill.
I wanted a fancy and elegant card for them... I know it's fancy but not sure how elegant. Well, I guess it is. I used my Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles for the base and layers of the card which is a cream color (and I don't know what brand as it was one of the few 12 x 12's in my stack. After folding the paper to 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 I ran it through the big shot with the die placed almost to the top, but not quite. That allowed the card to still have a 'hinge' at the top. More layers from the Rectangles were cut out and sponged with Blushing Bride (with the dies still in place). The center oval is Spellbinders Floral Ovals and I used an old Stampin' Up sentiment 'love' from Wonderful Words (retired).
I added a few rhinestone basic jewels to the corners. The flowers were from Michaels (I think) and started out white satin. I wanted them pink so I used the dauber and Blushing Bride to tint them. Of course I didn't have the right size envelope so SU's envelope maker to the rescue! I love that tool - so handy. I lined the envelope too. I sure hope they like it.
Back soon .... you too?
Until then,
happy stamping!!!
