American Hero
Hi everybody
Today's card is an early 4th of July card; however, it would also have been very suitable for Memorial Day. The stamp set I used is called American Hero by Verve and it is one of my favorites when it comes to patriotic cards. I am entering this card in Karen't Sweet Sunday Sketch (see it here) and also for the red, white and blue challenge over at the Paper players. See it here.
The papers I used were whisper white, real red, and night of navy. The dsp is from the new Maritime series from Stampin Up. The little strip of stars is a die cut from Life is a Circus by Taylored Expressions and the ribbon is from my stash. The daisies are from a new die cut I got recently from the weekly deals at SU called Blossom Petals (now retired). Love getting a good deal, don't you? Finally I added a couple of red rhinestones to get the sparkles going.
This was a fun and easy card. Sometimes it just all goes together without effort and then there are the "other" times. This one worked for me... I hope you like it too.
I'll see you tomorrow? Thanks for the visit.
