Today I am pleased and honored to be a Featured Stamper on the Color Throwdown. The challenge colors this week are Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight and Smoky Slate... yummy! You can see their post and the other samples here.
Here is my card.
I chose Smoky Slate as the base of my card and used an edge punch to fancy up the edge. I then added a strip of Polka Dot Parade (retired) in Daffodil under the floral image. I matted the image in Bermuda Bay and then used Fabulous Florets (also retired from Stampin' Up) in daffodil and smoky slate for the leaves. The butterfly, in Bermuda Bay, is from my new set 'Kinda Eclectic'. Trust me, you'll be seeing that stamp set a lot in future blogs ... I love it.
The colorful double Daisy is from Spellbinders 'jewel flowers and flourishes' in Bermuda Bay. The little sentiment is from 'itty bitty banners'. I will frequently put a 'neutral' sentiment on the front of my cards - then I can simply add the appropriate message when I choose to send the card.
I hope you enjoyed this card ... it's cheerful and was fun to make.
I'll see you tomorrow? Hope so....
Meanwhile, enjoy your day and happy stamping!
