Crazy card club for March
This was fun! We had no particular theme for this month... just go 'wild'. Well, I wouldn't exactly call my card 'wild' but with spring on our doorstep I just had to do something floral. And, about a month ago, one of my stamping icons decided to sell off her supplies and I bought a few things. She sent me a thank you card along with my goodies. Here is Beate's card... and my inspiration (I copied it pretty closely)... how could I not? It's such a beautiful card. I sure will miss her posts and tutorials. :-)
Beate's card
My card
The main body of the card uses Resplendent Rectangles by Spellbinders. Beate's card does not fit an A2 envelope so I chose to make mine smaller. That said, the top had to be eliminated so I placed the die a little differently in the machine. Came out like this - the card was already folded and opens from bottom to top. Leaving the die in the paper, I sponged the borders with soft sky ink and a dauber. I did this for the top layer too.
I used my copics to color the flower images from Stampin' Up's Happy Watercolor set.
I also put some gold stickles in each flower center and added this picture since the other did not show up.
I hope you've enjoyed today's post. This card was a bit labor intensive but really fun to create.
Have a great day!!!
Huggies, my friends
