Kindness Matters

                                                    Kindness Matters

Definitely!!!  I saw a short quote the other day which states "Everyone is fighting some kind of battle so be kind... Always".  That's so true, isn't it?  It reminded me of the stamp set "Kind and Cozy" and I wanted to share some of my pins with you.  I bought the dsp "Gingham Garden" waaaaay back in July when the new catalog just came out and then immediately used it all up.  I recently got some more and these are some of my inspiration pieces... I call them "cottage cards".

I can't wait to dig into my new paper stack and make some of these.  It's always so nice to have these bright, cheerful little "cottage" cards to pop in the mail when you need to cheer someone up. Love these happy cards.
Have a great day and I'll be back soon with a couple of pop up box Easter cards for my daughters and also my latest crazy card club offering.
Stay tuned and enjoy your day.
Happy Stamping!!!

Pam's SAS

                                             More fun at Pam's Stamp-a-Stack

As promised, here are the rest of our cards from last weekend.  We had a great time... and, tomorrow, I am going to Gail's where everyone is going to make 2 popular Pop Up Box cards... stay tuned ... I'll have pictures ... yay!

I absolutely a.d.o.r.e. the serenity of this card.  It is created by masking and sponging before adding these cute little shore birds.  This set is another on my wishlist - "Wetlands" in the big book.

Pennants celebrate the day!

Vroom!  Vroom!  Here's a cute set I really never noticed in the book.  Do you do that too?  Well, it's a pretty cute set, now that I see it in use.

Flapper time!  This card uses strips of shades of blue and each is cut with the new fringe scissors.  Love it.

How about this happy little card?  Definitely ready to jump for joy for birthdays!!  The little pennants are stamped and punched and then added to toothpicks for a festive look.  Love it with this paper.

I was so lucky to win this door prize featuring Happy Watercolor images and those cute little vases.  Yes, I know the name of the vases set but it escapes me at the moment... sigh.  Pam always makes sure everyone in attendance gets a door prize of 4 cards in a neat little container.  It's so much fun.... looking forward to more fun in May!

I've skipped through them rather quickly but I hope you've gotten some ideas.  I enjoy sharing with you!

Back soon

Enjoy your weekend

Pop Up Box Cards

Pop-up Box card party at Gail's

Yay!  What a fun day.  Laura die cut tons of butterflies and flowers, I did some also... along with some cute little white picket fences and Gail had a bunch she had prepared too. We had lots and lots of flowers, butterflies, birds, fences, leaves, buttons, bows - you name it, if it fit in our "garden" we found a place for it in our pop up box cards. Many of the ladies had never made one and they loved them!  This was one of the best workshops (at least I think so).  I had a tutorial on my blog a couple of weeks ago - feel free to look back and run off a copy for yourself - you'll enjoy it, I guarantee :-).

I need to apologize for my (less than great) pictures.  I had the flash on and didn't realize the pretty flowers were being washed out by the flash ... bummed.  I hope you enjoy them anyway.

Look how different they all are. I love the way each stamper put their own spin on these.  We had the same supplies available and maybe that's what made it so much fun - we kept 'stealing' ideas from each other - and adding, adding - not knowing when to stop. :-)

Laura and Robin hard at work.

Kendra and Laura - they look happy, happy, happy!

l

Cheryl sorting the bits and pieces to embellish some more

Look at Sarah's - I love the orange polka dots - soooo cute

You can almost see the picket fence on mine - another flash wash-out!

Pat's adorable pop up box.  You can see more detail in her 'garden' - wins most photogenic!

Kathy hamming it up for the camera and I still managed to blur the little flowers - sigh.

Jean and Suzie hard at work - well, between peeks at the catalog

Everyone seemed to have a really fun time and, to tell you the truth, I think I could still be decorating this little box.  Go ahead and make one today - you'll thank me!

Gail said it best when she said "If we don't quit embellishing these things, we can hand deliver them and say....

'Here's your twelve pound card'"

Pam's SAS part 1

                                                 Stamp-a-Stack at Pam's

I think card making parties are just too much fun.  We laugh and create all these wonderful creations - what a fun way to spend a Saturday.  Here are a few of the cards we made last weekend.

I'll have a few more tomorrow.

Love this little 'flip-flop' birthday card.  We pieced the layers of cake.

Another darling Bday using the new sweet sorbet dsp - and why don't I have that cute embossing folder?

Perfect Birthday card for a man - really nautical - must ask Pam if the arrow and wheel are die cuts?

Here we are using die cut leaves from Secret Garden and the pansy punch from Flower Shop.

One of my faves - must get the Blessed Easter stamp soon.  We used watercolor paper and stamped it twice and cut out the flowers for dimension.  Love it.

Here we've used a couple of items from Sale-a-Bration - the sentiment and the embossing folder.

Don't miss out - Sale-a-Bration ends the end of this month.  How fast time flies!

Back soon ------ meanwhile-----ENJOY THE FIRST DAY OF SPRING.

Crazy Card Club March

                                                 Crazy card club for March

This was fun!  We had no particular theme for this month... just go 'wild'.  Well, I wouldn't exactly call my card 'wild' but with spring on our doorstep I just had to do something floral.  And, about a month ago, one of my stamping icons decided to sell off her supplies and I bought a few things.  She sent me a thank you card along with my goodies.  Here is Beate's card... and my inspiration (I copied it pretty closely)... how could I not?  It's such a beautiful card.  I sure will miss her posts and tutorials.   :-)

Beate's card

My card

The main body of the card uses Resplendent Rectangles by Spellbinders.  Beate's card does not fit an A2 envelope so I chose to make mine smaller.  That said, the top had to be eliminated so I placed the die a little differently in the machine.  Came out like this - the card was already folded and opens from bottom to top.  Leaving the die in the paper, I sponged the borders with soft sky ink and a dauber.  I did this for the top layer too.

I used my copics to color the flower images from Stampin' Up's Happy Watercolor set.

I also put some gold stickles in each flower center and added this picture since the other did not show up.

I hope you've enjoyed today's post.  This card was a bit labor intensive but really fun to create.

Have a great day!!!

Huggies, my friends
