I just finished these cards for our 'crazy card club' and wanted to share. Each month we all send a card to one another and there is a theme for that month. This month was 'bling' which I translated into 'glitter'. I think this procedure is a lot of fun and thought you might like to see the process from beginning to end.
And here's how we got there....
You start out by transferring your sticker to a piece of double sided adhesive. I used Be Creative Tape by sookwang. The images/stickers are from Elizabeth Craft Designs.
Next you're going to apply some micro-fine glitter - since it's double sided adhesive tape, the "inside" of the image is going to hold the glitter.
Then smoosh it and spread it around so it fills the image. At this point you are using some muscle (yeah, really) - you want to push that glitter into the adhesive - kind of like brayering with your finger. Since the next step is coloring with your Copics you don't want a lot of loose glitter sticking to your pens.
Oh dear, apparently my assistant is bored with the whole operation! Oh my. An open jar of micro fine glitter and a kitty with a fluffy tail? It's ok, nap away little Bailey, nap, nap, nap. :-)
I also did some cupcakes - haven't made them into cards yet. Fun project.
And here's my finished card again. I used cherry cobbler card stock for the base and a bit of Season of Style dsp along the side punched with the open scallop. I wanted to keep the focal point on the cardinal. The sentiment and embellishments are also from Elizabeth Craft.
Now that I'm through with my 'crazies' for the year, it's time to get started on my Christmas cards - cupcake, anyone?
