Enjoy Life Sip by Sip
Hi Friends
Finally! Yep, I finally finished my crazy card club submission for May. I don't know why it took me so long except that I was enjoying the process so I took my time. It all started toward the end of April when I saw some of Marcella Hawley's designs on Pinterest. She was one of my favorite designers with the Flourishes line... remember them? Well, she now has her own company called Power Poppy and it is heaven to browse all the wonderful designs and samples. I had fully intended to do a card which featured her daffodils but when I saw "Short Stacks" I was smitten.
I think this is one of the cutest images I've seen in a long time and knew I had to make it. I love Spellbinders too and this wonderful set is the A2 Devine Eloquence. After stamping the image on whisper white using Memento tuxedo black, I selected my Copics and just had fun with it. I only did a few each evening while watching TV which is probably why it took so long.
I also decided the little bird needed to be popped up so I stamped him off a second time on some scraps from the die cutting, colored him up, cut him out, and popped him up over the other.
Of course, if you've read this blog before, you know I can't do these things by myself...right? I always have my helper (Bailey Mc Puss) close by...
The crazies will get the pale blue cards, I needed to make some for myself too so I experimented with the die to see how other color combinations looked. I also played around with bow, or no bow, and finally decided the bow wasn't necessary. Hope I was right???
The inside reads "enjoy life sip by sip"... love it! Kind of a funny "aside". Our crazy card club has a suggested theme for each month and I thought this month said "your choice". Well, today when I was addressing the envelopes, I noticed it said 'thank you'. Next month is 'your choice'... should I do a thank you? LOL We shall see................. stay tuned.
Thanks for coming by to take a look
{{hugs}}
