Dress Form Side Step

I'm still trying to get into the habit of posting my cards in this blog.  I really want to be consistent, but I guess 'life' keeps getting in the way.  Meanwhile, I've been trying to step up my photography (and editing) as well as learning a few more things in PSE11.  Well, I guess that qualifies as an excuse, I'm going to try to do better.... really, really.... please don't give up on me!

So... here we go.  I am attending a 'shoebox swap' for Stampin' Up! demonstrators in our area this weekend and here is the card I made to use at my station.  I wanted to do something a little different using the Dress Up framelets so I created a side-step card.  After positioning and re-positioning lots of dresser/cabinet elements, I ended up liking this little bureau the best.

I used the designer series paper 'comfort cafe' for the dress and wallpaper, the natural composition specialty series paper for the bureau, and midnight muse for the base of the card.  The little vase was created using the (retired) tab punch - it was double punched to make the vase smaller.  I used soft suede for the dress form and the back of the mirror - the mirror is the silver anniversary paper.  Simple pearls and some cherry cobbler seam binding ribbon gave it the finishing touches.

Hope you like my little card and that you'll stop by again.  BTW, tomorrow is the big day for SU's announcement of what is retiring and won't be available in the new catalog.  If you have your eye on a particular stamp set, check back tomorrow to see if it is on the list.  If it is, you'll want to get your hands on it before it's totally gone *poof*

See you soon!

Hugs,
Pat
