                         Good News - Bad News

The good news is that I have just mailed the last of my Christmas cards!  The bad news is that in my haste to get the job finished, I forgot to take pictures *big sigh*.  And I had quite a variety too that I wanted to share.  Oh well. Onward and upward.  Which brings me to this post - this new stamp set is available to right now!  Get the jump on your Valentine cards - and remember to take pictures LOL.

I'm still waiting for mine but here is a really cute sample done by Connie Babbert.
 

1. The base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 of Real Red folded in half.
2. She cut a 2 3/4 x 4 panel of Whisper White and stamped the bird image with Coastal Cabana, Crumb Cake and Real Red Stampin' Write Markers towards the right side.
3. She layered it on 3 x 4 1/4 panel of Real Red cardstock.
4. Emboss a 5 1/4 x 4 panel of Coastal Cabana with the new Decorative Dots folder (available as a SAB selection in late January!) or any EF you choose
5. cut a 2 x 4 strip of Fresh Prints Designer Paper Stack and layered it on top, then placed the stamped panel on top.
6. add a 1/2" strip of Red Glimmer down the left side.
7. Finally, she stamped the Made with Love circle with Real Red on Whisper White and punched with the 1" Circle punch and placed at the bottom of the Red Glimmer Paper!

These colors are charming but here's another idea.  Right now during Stampin' Up's clearance blitz the core'dinations papers (cherry cobbler and pool party, for instance) are only $2.79 for a package of 12 sheets each.  Run it through your Big Shot with a cute embossing folder and lightly sand it for texture on the blue panel.

Pretty good deal and would be darling on this card.
