St. Patty's Day

I made this card for a St. Patrick's birthday using SU!'s Garden Green 6 x 6 packet which I believe is retired... but any bright "Irish" green would work on this card.   I made the shamrock using my heart punch, making four pieces, and then just put them together and added a little brad. I've seen this technique done before and would like to give credit but don't remember where I originally saw it... sorry. I then cut my center pieces using my Spellbinder's Nestabilities (labels nine) dies and lightly sponged some Garden Green around the edges. I pierced a double stem also and used my white gel pen to put some dots around the green nestie shape.

The base of the card is Garden Green, then a layer of white, and then the designer paper pieces. The ribbon is from Michael's and has some polka dot finish to it and, of course, I didn't have a green ribbon that would match.  The little charm was in my goodies box and I have no idea where/when I got it... it actually matches the colors a bit better irl.  I stamped "It's your day" from Verve's "Party Time" and punched it out.  Inside the card is a Happy Birthday Sentiment and I carried some of the green designer paper inside also.  It's a very "green" card but also celebrates a birthday. Hope you enjoy it and thanks for dropping by!
