A cup of Roses

Goofy title, huh?  Well, I did this card today when Verve started their Spring Fling Challenges for the new release coming out tonight.  So far, I'm loving all the new stamps that will be available tomorrow. This challenge was to do a CAS card so, before starting it, I went to the Clean and Simple blog and chose this sketch.  This was a super fun image to color... as I've mentioned, I love puttering with my Copics during nightly TV... can't stand to just sit there!

I must admit, before I send this birthday card out, I'll probably put an avocado bow at the upper right edge of the white panel... I just HAVE to give it a little more "foof".  The base of the card is a warm grey onto which I stamped clear versamark using Verve's bountiful backgrounds set. I stamped the teacup rose on white cardstock and colored it with Copics and pierced around the edge. Next I used an edge punch to create the avocado border and stamped 'it's your day' on the bottom.
