At Home with Verve

I'm going to try to do a better job of keeping up this blog... honest!  It doesn't seem like two months have passed since I posted; it apparently has been quite a while.  I wanted to change the look of this blog to make it pretty and kept running into walls... guess I got discouraged!  I'll work harder and try to 'pretty it up' soon.  Meanwhile, here is my latest card... I'll post some of the older ones that got overlooked when I was having my learning curve problem.  Well, I'm still in that 'curve', smack up against the wall, but here I am anyway.

Today's card will eventually be a birthday card for someone.  It's a 5 1/4" square and was made for the At Home with Verve weekly challenges on SplitCoast.  This time we were to be inspired by a dining room and I chose this one.  Pretty pink... looks like an English Cottage-type space to me.  Here is my card which is a pretty literal interpretation (as it turns out).  I used my new Basic Grey "Lemonade" 6 x 6 paper pack and SU's pretty in pink cs.  I chose Verve's Petals & Stems stamp set for the flowers and pierced around the edge of the Nestabilities green circle.  I also sponged the labels nine Nestie with pretty in pink and a dauber while the paper was still in the die.  The so saffron swirl is a Sizzix die "flourish #3" and I also used my Stickles "Fruit punch" on the flowers and the Martha Stewart Butterfly (punch).  The ribbon is so saffron gros grain (1/2" I think) from Stampin' Up!

Thanks for stopping by....
