Verve Wishing You

It's a happy day around here and I hope it is for you too!  Today I'll be meeting my college roommate for lunch and a little shopping.  We went to school together at UC Santa Barbara (I won't tell you when - hee hee) and we don't get to see each other very often as she lives up in northern CA.  Should be fun!

Today I want to share the last of February's series for Verve - At Home with Verve to be exact -  this card was a bit of a problem for me since I needed to make it a masculine card for a 21 year old... so this was a toughie for me.

I started with Kraft cardstock and some Wild Asparagus paper from ages ago and started building the design.  I wanted to keep the color scheme muted - the blue ribbon is not quite as bright IRL.  Using my circle nesties (they are getting a lot of use lately) I cut out the scallop circle in rust and the standard circle in vanilla and sponged the edges with really rust while the paper was still in the die.  I also stamped a few leaves on the bordering blue panel with versamark so it would be there but not overly distinct.  A little hodgepodge hardware and that's about it.

Have a super day... it's very pretty and spring-like here today... lovin' it!!!

Toys used...

Paper - SU! Kraft, bordering blue, very vanilla - Wild Asparagus DS
