Lynda's birthday

Hi Friends... and happy Friday to you all

Today I want to share the card that I made for our daughter Lynda for her birthday.  I'm really happy with the way it turned out but I needed to tweak it a bit to make it do what I wanted.   I used Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles.  The largest of the dies in this set is 5 x 7 and that is the cover on this card.  But it's a kind of 'false front'.

If you look closely at the following picture, you'll see that that the card has a double front.  I affixed the folded card to the false front to achieve this. Sometimes when things just don't want to cooperate, you make do with another method and that's what went on here. After I figured out the construction, I chose some pretty lavender Copics to color the image.  The stamp set is called Passion Flower from Flourishes.  The design artist is one of my favorites, Marcella Hawley.

The image is stamped on the second of this spellbinders' set and I sponged the background while the paper was still in the die. I stamped the flowers off twice so I could cut out the two large blossoms and pop them up on the card. Last, I added the rhinestones from my SU pack.

Lynda loved this card and I hope you do too.

Thanks for the visit... and come back soon
