Christmas favorites

Hi Friends

I'm calling this post "Christmas Favorites", the non-edible variety.  Of course, we all have favorite foods but here are a few of my favorite cards for this year.  I found that I didn't need to make very many this year since they were already done over the course of the year.  Some I made at SAS's, some were from our Crazy Card Club, and many were from my entries into Merry Monday and Jingle Bells challenges.  I'm definitely going to do that again as it really cuts down the rush and stress when it's time to get those cards addressed and 'out of here'.  These were particular favorites which I had not posted before...

and I think this screen card (below) is my very favorite and a style I will use for all those cute new things in the Occasions catalog and Sale a Bration which go live Jan 6... stay tuned!

Hope you've enjoyed my little sampling of cards ... enjoy your holidays!

Bailey and I have a special photo for you on Christmas Day... hope you have time to stop by!

Tags, tags and more tags

Ho Ho Ho

Are we having fun yet?  Here's another project that I've wanted to do every Christmas for a long time and finally did.  Tags.  I keep my scraps in those Sterlite containers - the big, flat ones - and all these tags were made with pieces that were in the scrap piles.  Love that!  Time and space do not permit me to describe each and every one but I'm sure you can get some ideas from these pictures.

Keeping this short as I still have a lot of preparation to do before the family arrives the 21st ... eeek.... but, ya know, having the family all together this Christmas makes any extra effort on my part totally worth it.

Here are just a few of the tags I made this year - think I made about 75.  I fully intend to 'recall' them on Christmas day unless the recipient refuses.  I'm going to recycle them until they fall apart.  Enjoy these samples.

Back soon!  Thanks for stopping by to have a look.

Many Merry Stars

Hi Everyone...

I hope you're all having a fun time decorating and planning for a lovely Christmas celebration.  I have been very busy doing all those projects that are always promised for 'next year', if you know what I mean.  Our daughter and our grandkids will be here on Sunday so, ever since Thanksgiving, I've been doing lots of special decorating and treat making.  I loved the Many Merry Stars kit that Stampin' Up offered in their Holiday Supplement so I went for it.  They were really fun and easy to make... however, I'm having some issues with some of them staying together.  It could very well be just me, since I have many of them hanging on the bannister and others placed on the fireplace mantel and both of those locaitons get a lot of dry heat.  That being said, when I use them next year, I will get out my hot glue gun and fix some of the problem areas.  They were a blast to make... honest!!!

Well, well... hello Bailey

and here they are on the mantel

I hope you enjoyed my 'share' today ... this is a fun kit with many uses.

Be back as soon as possible

Christmas Mini Bags

Hi Stampers

Here we go with another really cute idea for your Christmas table.  I got this idea from Sam Donald of "Pootles" ...  I subscribe to her blog and am always excited when I get an email with a new project ... check out her YouTube channel too. Thanks so much Sam, you're the best!

Are these too cute, or what?  Really teeny (there are 3 kisses in each).
Here are the dimensions... and Sam's YouTube video here
Paper is cut at 6" x 4 1/2"
with long side (landscape) at the top, score at 2 1/2" and 3 1/2"
with short side (portrait) at top, score at 1" and 3 1/2"

These take no time at all and I'm sure you will get lots of compliments... try it.

I'll be back soon with my next fun project... here's a sneak peek... thanks to Debbie Henderson for the picture of her finished stars

The Holiday Supplement is here! Additional products now available for your Christmas projects. THESE ARE ALL AS SUPPLIES LAST so get them now! I've attached a picture of the stars kit that I've been working with.......can I say awesome! Go here to view the supplement:

Little Christmas Treats

Hi there

I hope you're making good progress on your holiday planning.  I have been feverishly decorating and getting my lists together ... checking it twice, of course.

I've been having a lot of fun making decorations from many of the Stampin' Up ideas out there.  This post is all about little Christmas treats to put at each place for your holiday dinner.  After all the rich food, doesn't a Ghirardelli chocolate sound good?  Chocolate is a must around our table :-)

I copied this idea from fellow demonstrator Dawn Griffith... thanks Dawn... such a cute project.  Here are some pictures using the All is Calm dsp, Festive Flurry dies (retired) and sparkly silver glimmer paper.

They are really quite simple.  The paper is cut to 3 x 8 1/2 and the belly band is 3/4 x 9.  You're going to score your 3 x 8 1/2 piece, positioned in landscape orientation,  at 2 1/2,
5 1/2 & 5 3/4.  That's it!!!  Using your scallop edge tag punch (or similar) punch the shorter end.  Now it's just folding your score lines and assembling.  I used Festive Flurry snowflake dies and a small Martha Stewart snowflake punch to embellish mine.  On the inside I used the 2" round punch, and the 2 1/2" scallop round and put in a sentiment.  The chocolate sits in there too. Notice the silver ribbon?  I decided to affix the snowflakes to the belly band using velcro circles so it can be removed and used as an ornament... how brilliant... neat, huh?

Well, of course, I had lots of help!

We had to take a "birthing" break since Dorothy was about to have her kittens.  The Kittens of Oz.  No, they are not mine, they belong to a wonderful rescue group in
Canada which showed the live birth and now there's a round-the-clock livestream cam where we can watch these cuties grow up ... check it out here...

Bailey's comforting Dorothy "it'll be ok, don't fret"

And here they are... all done... and ready for Christmas Day.  Check back soon - I have another cute little treat bag that wll be for Christmas Eve dinner.  Fun, fun projects.
