Greeting Farm Duckie Rain

I've been running around like a chicken with it's head cut off (eeew!), but really, I have... hence the title of this post.  He's actually an image from The Greeting Farm Digi's called "Duckie Rain".  Anyway, I'm going in for a total knee replacement tomorrow (double eeewww!) and won't be able to come upstairs for (possibly) as long as 6 weeks so I've not only been doing a ton of pre-op appointments, but I've had to move myself to the downstairs bedroom & bath, and also take *some* of my card making stuff down too!  My dining room will be my craft room for awhile.  We'll see how the logistics work out as to whether I'll be able to post on my blog for awhile.  Wish me luck... ;-)

Here's a card I found in my camera when I was getting all it's pieces and parts together to take to my new digs.  As I said, it is from TGF where I've found the cutest digital images!  This card is for a friend's birthday coming up in a few weeks and the inside sentiment says "It's raining love and Birthday Wishes"... fitting, huh?  The papers I used are from Cosmo Cricket and SU!, the ribbon from Papertrey, and Duckie is colored using Copic sketch markers.  I used my sewing machine to stitch the layers.  I hope you enjoy this card and now I'm off to finish taking odds and ends downstairs.

Back as soon as possible

Bat Cat

Wow.... I've had this card almost finished since Monday and here it is Friday already!!!  I just love this little image called "Bat Cat" from Mo's Digital Images.  This is my card for Mojo Monday 155....

I colored this sweet kitty on her pumpkins with Copics, cut out the circle with my nesties and pierced around the edges.  I loved this sketch of Julee's this week... very user friendly!  And, would you believe it, when I was digging around in my 12 x 12 paper stash, I found this that already had the block panels on it.  This only thing I did to the top panels was to add a little strip to match the green used on the bottom of the card.  I believe the paper is by SU! - I'm sure it's retired - but I haven't a clue what the name of it was... sorry.  I actually dragged out my sewing machine and stitched around the edges... Don't look too closely as I am really a novice with that machine.  I had fun with the final embellishments too!  The little bats are from a strip of ribbon and you MUST look closely at the cat's eyes.  They are little yellow crystals and, believe me, they are glowing at me right now!!  I made the little tag with my Hello Pumpkin sentiment (Verve) and affixed it to the ribbon with some white kitchen string!  Hope you like this cutie and thanks for the visit!
