Fluttering By and Petals & Stems

Happy Friday!  Hope you're looking foward to a great weekend.

The card I want to share with you today features Verve's Petals & Stems as well as Fluttering By.  These were some of my first Verve sets and I still love them.  Julee has challenged us to make a card using one of these two sets... no problem for me... they are "pets" of mine so I used them both!

I used my Cosmo Cricket Early Bird (again... I know... but I adore it).  I also used my new edge punch "double loop" by Martha Stewart, circle nesties, Cuttlebug 'swiss dots', some little pearls, pop dots and some so saffron ribbon.   I had a pretty good idea of how I wanted it to look before I started out so it went together like a breeze and I'm happy with it.  My cardstock colors are so saffron and baja breeze from SU!.  There is a little aqua in the flowered paper but I think I covered most of it up.  But I do like the contrast.  I used real red and old olive ink.

That's about it for today. I'm not going to type out a recipe since it's all in the text.  Have a great weekend!

  1. Fabulous card! Love the DPs and how you did the ribbon. Was hoping to win this challenge but I think you've got it in the bag!

  2. Eeek! This is absolutely gorgeous! I adore all those polka dots!

  3. Hi Patty, I saw your entry in the Verve challenge and had to come see the big pic! Sooo fun and I am just like you, love that Early Bird paper!!!
