Christmas Album "North Pole Gazette"

Hello there.... and Merry Christmas from our home to yours

Here is the last of my albums that I made this year.  I'm really addicted to making these.  This is paper I picked up at Michaels and decided it would be perfect in a 6 x 6 format.  This album also has six pages with all the flaps, pockets and pull outs imaginable.  Once again, I should have taken the pictures from a further distance so you could see how each page interacts with the others... I did promise to do better next time, right?  These three albums which have been posted have all be delivered to our daughters and one granddaughter so I can't take any more pictures... we'll just have to deal with what I have.

Here we go..... Are you ready, Bailey?  C'mon, lets get to work...

Hope you're inspired to try an album one of these days.... the step-by-step tutorials for making the book and it's pages can be found on YouTube.

Meanwhile, have a very happy holiday season.  And, as always I thank you for visiting my blog.

Photoplay Mad for Plaid

Hi again peeps

Yes, we have been super busy around here lately.  Here is #2 of the three albums I’ve been creating lately.  I had intended to just make the one album (from yesterday’s post) but then I saw jackie’s video of the ‘mad 4 plaid’ folio and knew I had to make it too.  Little did she know that I would be copying hers almost exactly... but I loved it....soooo.  These albums consume a lot of paper and to avoid redundancy I pulled out some of my Stampin up DSP to supplement.  So...let’s get started.  Thank you Jackie for the wonderful tutorial on how to make this folio... I don’t think I could have figured it out myself.  You can go to YouTube and search 'mad 4 plaid folio' to see Jackie's.

Here is the front... the "fa la la" paper is covering the magnetic closure

Inside front cover... the little snowman 4 x 4 card holds the flap down in the top picture... when removed the flaps open to reveal lots more areas for pictures.

this little booklet pulls out of the upper pocket and has four pages with flaps that hold 3 x 5 photos

here is the folder flap with a pocket for the cut-parts

the center of the folio

opened

the cards (4) on the left in the above picture pull out and that flap opens

I'm discovering that my pictures leave a lot to be desired.  I hope you can imagine the way things open from my description.  I'll try a different approach next time.

the above are part of the back page and some pull-out cards for photos and journaling

Here is the back cover ... with the end of the snap closure

So there you have album #2.... one more will be posted before Christmas (hopefully)

Thanks for stopping by....
