Snow Happy Jingle Belles

Hi Ho Everyone!

Today's card is all about my favorite Christmas 'whatever'... a song, movie, book ... mine is about a dream.  Yep... a dream.  It is called a Storied Holiday over at Jingle Belles ... you should go check out their challenge and some of the wonderful samples.  Why is mine a dream?  Well, I am a native Southern Californian, and while I have many cherished memories at Christmas, none of them involve snow.  So... this would be my dream.  Sparkling white snow, blue birds chirping and a cute snowman right outside my door.  Then on Jan 1st it could all go away and it would be Spring... see, I read all about how most people feel about snow.  I used one of my favorite SU sets "Snow Much Fun" (recently retired) and colored the tall snowman with my Copics.

The base of my card is whisper white, the blue is from my stash (bashful blue???) and the red is cherry cobbler.  I used my glue pen and then added some dazzling diamonds for a little sparkle.  The sentiment 'snow happy' is by Impression Obsession.

The snowflake die cut at the base of the card is by Memory Box and is quite intricate.  I have a
BAILEY TIP.... when using a very detailed die, such as this, put waxed paper between the die cutting surface and your paper, then run it through your machine.  The little bits will come out so much easier.  You're welcome  :-).

I think that about covers it today... come back soon ... I have another challenge card in the 'works'.

Happy Stamping

  1. Such an adorable card, it caught my eye in the Jingle Belles gallery right away!

It's funny what you said about snow...I absolutely adore snow and moved to Alaska specifically for the winters!! Well last winter the lower 48 had more snow than I did up here, it was such a bummer! I'm hoping this winter we get back to our normal snowfall :) I did spend 3 yrs living in the San Francisco area and then 3 yrs in the Mojave Desert and I was miserable, I need my seasons and snow to be happy :)
