Joy to the World

                                                        Joy to the World

I think that sentiment could be very effective every day of the year, don't you?  However, today's card is for Christmas, Merry Monday to be exact.  The challenge this week was to feature a santa hat... take a look here ... there are some adorable samples too.  Well........... I know Hedgie has on a cute santa hat but it might not be enough of a focal point. I love him all the same.  I also loved Jen's Deconstructed Sketch this week and was determined to make all the different pattern papers work.  Here is her sketch... check out her gorgeous sample here.  So I combined the two challenges.   Post script.... Here is another challenge which I just found out about... today is Sunday June 15... anyway, it is all about Christmas and it's called "Jingle Belles".  Their challenge this week is for a red and green card so I am also entering Hedgie in this challenge ... see it here

Here is my card using Stampin Up's (retired) dsp 'Snow Festival'.  I used my Penny Black "The Wonder" stamp set again - I adore the cute images.

I colored Hedgie with my copics which was the easy part.  Finding papers that I thought looked good together? ... not so easy.  I thought I had a pretty good eye for pattern paper choices ... gonna have to re-think that ... although I like the end result.  I had some pretty bizarre paper selections going on for a while today ... but, fortunately, they were rejected =^..^=.   The little sentiment is from Whiff of Joy called (aptly enough) "Season's Greetings".  My cardstock colors are gumball green and cherry cobbler - and whisper white, of course.

So, I hope you like him.  He's going to be entered in Jen's Deconstructed Sketch as well as the always fun, Merry Monday.

Thanks so much for coming by to look at my cards.  I appreciate it and always look forward to your comments.  Have a great day....
