You Rock

Here's a card I made today.  I made this birthday card  for a college boy! That's always a challenge in itself, but I also did it for this weeks At Home with Verve Friday Challenge VLVMar2010. This challenge was to select a kitchen for inspiration and I chose the third sample because of the colors... browns and vanilla.

The card base is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 and the little square elements at the bottom are from "To the Nines" retired ds from Stampin' Up! I used Verve's 'You Rock' stamp set for the stars and the sentiment and for the birthday sentiment (inside) I used my Verve 'Wishing You'. Twine and some sage ribbon finished it up. I was very proud of myself for not using any feminine embellies. :-D. I think it's appropriate for him - hope you like it too.  Bye for now...
